Who does what

InspectMan is the shared workspace for the Org (the company running the project) and the Inspector (staff or freelancer). Some things stay outside the platform — like invoicing the end client and posting physical letters — and that's on purpose.

Common questions

Does it cost anything to join?: No. Creating a profile and staying listed is free. InspectMan doesn't take a percentage of your rate.
How do I get paid?: You generate the invoice directly on InspectMan from your freelancer hub — line items, GST, period and notes — then issue it to the company. The Org sees it in their engagement view and marks it paid once settled. Every status change (draft → sent → paid) is written to the engagement timeline. The bank transfer itself happens outside the platform.
Does InspectMan take a cut of my invoice?: No. Invoicing on InspectMan is free — you keep 100% of the amount you invoice.
Do I need my own ABN?: Yes. You engage each company as an independent contractor, so you'll need an ABN and appropriate insurance.
What's the Verified badge?: After you upload your ID, insurance and licenses, our team reviews and grants the badge. Verified profiles are prioritised in search and win more invitations.
Can I set my own availability?: Yes. Toggle 'accepting work' off any time to pause invitations without losing your profile.
